According to Engadget. Apple’s having an iPad announcement on March 7, just a few days after Microsoft announces the availability of Windows 8 Consumer Preview. From the looks of the invite image, I think we’ll see the following changes to the device:
- No more home button. Swipable area under the main screen, hence the taller black bezel. This will probably infuriate HP, and introduce a lawsuit for ripping Palm UX patents.
- A higher resolution display, probably 2x or 4x. The tech has already been displayed, so there’s no reason not to include it. Expect them to stroke the future of e-Textbooks with this device.
- Some sort of announcement of additional cloud / Mac OS X Mountain Lion integration.
- Quad core, but really, who wasn’t expecting that?
Let’s see if I’m right?
